We are Doncaster’s oldest local cancer charity. All our members and management team are volunteers - we are proud to say we still do not have any paid staff.
Since our formation in 1972 we have donated over 80 pieces of front line cancer equipment to Doncaster Hospitals alongside millions of pounds worth of facilities and medical expertise and built, equipped and upgraded St John’s Hospice.
It’s the amazing support of Doncaster people and the many great business and organisations that have supported us over the years that enable us to keep succeeding with our fundraising efforts – helping to provide a gold standard service for cancer patients in Doncaster and the surrounding area. Long may it continue.
February – DCDT successfully raises £500,000 for a much needed second CT scanner at Doncaster Royal Infirmary (DRI)
Construction starts on the new CT scanning suite at DRI, which will house the new CT scanner
April – Launch of our prostate cancer appeal to buy a £150,000 biopsy machine for DRI’s Urology Department
Thank you to these great organisations and individuals supporting DCDT…
